Most people know that we only use 10% of our minds, which leaves the rest of our minds un-used, right? I don't believe that. 90% of our minds cant just not be there. Then we have our subconcious mind, which I suppose is what that 90% of un-used mind power is called.
Our subconcious mind is amazingly powerful, it's visible through out our lives, but we just don't notice it. It's concious about our lives, it knows what's going on, and it has a deeper understanding of it. But we just don't see that, until that is, we dream. Our dreams can be so strange.
One of my dreams was about purple aliens, with skittle lasers, trying to take over the world. How does that have anything to do with my life? Well, the only answer I have to that is that I was watching Invader Zim right before I went to bed.
So, not all of our dreams have a deeper meaning. Sometimes we have dreams that feel so realistic, that we think it was reality. Thats because our subconcious mind, understands our environment better then our concious mind. It can guess what a person in your life might do, considering their attitude, their situation, and their personality. Have you ever had Deja-vu? That could be a result of a dream like that. Kinda cool to think about, isn't it?
When we have dreams about drowning, falling, or anything of that sort, its our subconcious mind expressing that sense of hopelessness that we might be feeling, and not showing. Usually a dream of falling, means you're about to face a struggle.
Alot of our dreams represent the opposite of what it shows us, for example, alot of people have said when they've dreamt of death, a few days later they find out that they themselves are pregnant, or someone they know is. So death represents the opposite, it represents new life? It seems so. Alot of dreams work that way, but not all of them are interepted the same way.
I find dreams fascinating, especially when they come true. Have you ever dreamt about a fight, then the next day or the day after, you end up witnessing, or being apart of a fight? Yes, That has happened to me. It disturbed my friends, because I told them about the dream. They thought I was psychic LOL. Nah, it was my subconcious being a smart ass know it all.
It's funny isn't it? Our concious mind doesn't know as much as our subconcious mind.
Any comments? Anything you wana discuss? Lemme know, I love these kinds of discussions. Dreams fascinate me a great deal, so does philosphy.
Yours truly
