According to many people they say that our mind controls nearly every aspect of our body, except for our souls. It's believed our soul is an entirely different thing from our minds, and brains.
People say that when our mind dies, that means our body dies as well. It seems reasonable, since the person no longer carries on, the body no longer has anything to support. Then we have our souls, which is something that seems more important then the mind, so why doesn't the body support it the way it supports the mind?
This is what begins to confuse people, does this mean the mind and soul are the same things? I'd have to disagree. I believe they are two different, but similar things. The soul carries on even after death, but the mind, at death, is dead. It can no longer carry on, or do anything, its just dead. The soul learns from the mind though, and it interacts through it. The soul is basically who we are. The brain controls our body functions, which the mind has control over, and the soul uses the mind to communciate. Confusing? I know. >_<"
I believe that the body doesnt die when the mind dies. Even in scientific reports, it shows that the "thinking" part of our brain stops its activity, but the rest of the body continues going on, the heart keeps beating, the breathing continues, but theres no "thinking activity". I dont believe this is at all accurate, because you cant measure a persons thoughts, thats far too abstract.
More Explanations later on, please comment and check out this interesting website i found.
