Alice in Wonderland~ Continued

Baha, I have returned with more from Alice in Wonderland! Well, actually a specific poem from it.
It's called  The Bat by Lewis Carroll


Twinkle, twinkle, little bat
How I wonder what you’re at!
Up above the world you fly
Like a tea-tray in the sky.

I certainly do hope that that poem/song is familiar to you! It's Lewis Carroll's parody of  The Star AKA Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.

This isn't the first parody Lewis Carroll made, but it is the most featured one!

Back in Lewis' day (early 1800's), these songs/poems were taught, and battered into children's memory. If they didn't memorize them, word for word, they'd be considered morons. And obviously, it's a shame, to be considered a moron. In his book, Alice's Adventure in Wonderland, is where most of these parodies are seen. I believe he placed these as a rebellion against his ever so steady society.
