What's in Alice in Wonderland?~

Of course, I'm posting again about Alice in Wonderland, I can't help myself right now. I'm mostly posting about the philosophies  that Alice in Wonderland represents.

The first one I want to get into, is what the Mad Hatter represents. Insanity it seems? Yes, I suppose. He is, quite insane. But what if he represents more?

Personally, from his behavior, specifically around the Red Queen, in  most adaptions, or mostly all, he behaves fearfully, and cautiously around her, because obviously she is of higher standards. But the insanity he displays, may not just mean he's lost mind, it may also be a representation of how the pressures of society can drive one Mad.

He was sentenced to death because he could not sing properly, and the Red Queen claimed his singing was a waste of time. The hatter escapes being killed, and in respect of that, time halts itself for him. (Wait, what? Time can stop? We'll get to that, don't worry) Time stops for the Mad Hatter and the March Rabbit, at exactly 6 O'clock. Which happens to be their tea time. So, it's always tea time!

As for the while thing about time stopping? Of course it's not true, but I believe it represents how we can live the moments we enjoy, while ignoring the aspects of society we dislike. The Mad Hatter loves his tea, and most likely the parties he has, so he lives in those moments he enjoys, while ignoring the Red Queen's garbage society.

One more thing I want to talk about is the Tea party. Back in the day when the book Alice in Wonderland was written, it was in the mid to later 1800's, when having a Tea party was mainly for those who have high rankings, and are very elite. The author playfully destroys this image by having a Mad group of people having tea! That's ridiculous! How can people who have lost their sanity and are nothing close to elite have a tea party?!

I will continue later.
